Jason looked at the countries of origins for players identified in the Mitchell Report as using steroids/PEDs, and found a high percentage came from Latin America.
I asked how the percentages correlated to the overall player populations - for example, 23.6 percent of the steroid users are Dominican, but if 23.6 percent of all players are Dominican, that percentage is what you'd expect.
Well, Jason's work shows the numbers are pretty extraordinarily high for Latin American players. Dominicans, for example, are just under 12 percent of the player population, but 23.6 percent of the players identified in the Mitchell Report.
